Shahid Kapoor opens up about reuniting with Nana Patekar in 'O'Romeo'; says, 'We have some entertaining scenes together'

Shahid Kapoor and the iconic Nana Patekar are gearing up for an exciting collaboration in the soon-to-be-released film ‘O’ Romeo’, helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Kapoor showered Patekar with accolades, referring to him as a ‘remarkable actor’ while teasing their ‘incredibly captivating’ chemistry that promises to set the screen on fire.

Shahid Kapoor’s ‘O’Romeo’ is all set to hit theaters in February this year. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the movie also features Triptii Dimri and Nana Patekar in pivotal roles. Shahid will be reuniting with Nana Patekar after the 2010 movie ‘Paathshaala’. And recently, the lead actor opened up about the working with the veteran actor once again.

Shahid Kapoor calls Nana Patekar an outstanding actor

According to the Money Control report, Shahid Kapoor expressed, “Yes! I really enjoyed working with Nana Patekar in ‘Paathshaala’.” He added, “In fact, I was talking to him just today. I told him, ‘Sir, the chemistry between you and me is very sexy.'”

The actor went on to add that it’s quite fun to work with Nana Patekar. He shared, “He is an outstanding actor.” Shahid added when the camera starts rolling, Nana Patekar performs. According to the ‘Kaminey’ actor its not only “enjoyable” to work with the screen icon but one also get to learn a lot from him.In the same interaction, Shahid Kapoor added, “I’ve been watching him since my childhood.” He concluded, saying, “In this film, we have some very entertaining scenes together.”

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the movie features Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia, Avinash Tiwary, Disha Patani, and Farida Jalal. The film is based on the book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ by Hussain Zaidi.Reportedly, Shahid has charged Rs 45 crore for his role in the movie.The song ‘Hum To Tere Hi Liye The’ from the film was dropped on January 16, 2026. The second track, titled ‘Aashiqon Ki Colony’, was released on 27 January 2026.
