Shah Rukh Khan announces theatrical re-release of his iconic films: ‘The man hasn’t changed’

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, dropped a big surprise for fans on Friday. In a social media post, the actor took to his handle to share a big announcement that several of his classic films are returning to theatres as part of the Shah Rukh Khan Film Festival.Coming in just in time for his birthday celebrations, his iconic films from ‘Devdas’ to ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Dil Se’, ‘Om Shanti Om’, and even ‘Jawan’, will re-release in cinemas, beginning October 31.

Sharing the news with his signature humour, SRK wrote in the caption, “Some of my previous films are coming back to the theatres. The man in them hasn’t changed much – just the hair… and a little more handsome.” The festival will screen select titles in select cinemas across India, giving fans a chance to relive some of the actor’s most memorable performances as they gear up for his 60th birthday on November 2.

Films to re-release globally

The celebrations will not be restricted to fans in India, but also those across the globe. He went on to add that the films will be screened “across the Middle East, North America, the UK, Europe, and Australia.”Meanwhile, rumours are rife that Khan, who is working on his next big action film ‘King’, will unveil a teaser of the film on the occasion of his birthday. Although the reports are not officially confirmed, fans have been eagerly awaiting updates about the film, which had shooting on in full swing across Europe this year.The film that features SRK in the lead, will also feature Suhana Khan in a prominent role. The movie will also feature an ensemble cast, including Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan and many others.An official release date of the movie is also awaited. Go to Source
