Samantha Ruth Prabhu met C Joseph Vijay on Wednesday and later shared a heartfelt note on social media, praising his transition from cinema to politics and calling his journey an inspiration for many.Sharing pictures from their meeting on Instagram, Samantha expressed her admiration for Vijay’s decision to step into public service after a successful film career.

‘He was meant for something bigger’

Reflecting on her meeting with the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Samantha wrote, “When I landed in Chennai today, I felt this immense sense of happiness. I was going to meet our CM. I’ve always felt that Vijay sir was never meant to be just a hero on screen. His energy, his presence, and the way people respond to him always felt like he was meant for something bigger.”The actor said what inspired her the most was the courage Vijay displayed in entering a completely new field.“What inspires me most is the courage it takes to step into a completely new arena. To leave behind what you have already mastered and take on a challenge where the stakes are so much higher. Not because it is easy, but because you believe you can make a difference,” she wrote.

‘Very few people answer that call’

Samantha further spoke about the responsibility of contributing to society and said that while many people feel called to do more in life, only a few act on that impulse. “I think all of us, at some point in our lives, are called to do more. To look beyond ourselves and ask how we can contribute. Very few people actually answer that call,” she said.Expressing confidence in Vijay’s leadership, Samantha added, “I have a feeling Vijay sir will surprise even the people who already believe in him. Not because of the position he holds, but because of the intent with which he approaches it.”She concluded her message by wishing him strength, wisdom and perseverance, while encouraging young people to dream beyond their original ambitions.“Wishing him strength, wisdom and the courage to stay the course. And for every young person watching, may this be a reminder that life can be so much bigger than the dream you started with,” she wrote.

Vijay’s political journey

Tamil Nadu witnessed a major political shift on May 10 when Vijay was sworn in as the state’s 13th Chief Minister. The actor-turned-politician’s rise marked the end of the long-standing dominance of the DMK and AIADMK in Tamil Nadu politics. During his swearing-in, Vijay described his government as the beginning of “a new era of real, secular and social justice.” Go to Source
