Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, known for blockbuster entertainers like the ‘Golmaal’, ‘Singham’, ‘Simba’, and more, stepped out in public for the first time after the recent firing incident outside his Juhu residence. Rohit arrived at the departure area accompanied by a strong security team. Armed guards surrounded him and managed the crowd as photographers gathered. He wore a light shirt paired with dark trousers, opting for a simple look. Staff members guided him swiftly toward the entrance while ensuring people kept their distance. An emotional moment unfolded before he left. In the video, his son, Ishaan touched his father’s feet and the two then shared a hug. The brief exchange quickly caught attention online. Many users focused on the visible security cover as well as the father-son goodbye. Rohit avoided speaking to the media and moved inside soon after.

Firing incident outside his house

The sighting follows reports of gunshots fired outside his Juhu home earlier this month. Authorities increased security in the area immediately after the incident. Investigators later applied the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) and detained several suspects as the probe continued.Reports also suggested that the Bishnoi gang had claimed responsibility for the attack. Rohit has not issued any public statement so far. Officials continue to track the shooters and possible links to a larger network.

On the work front

He is currently directing a biopic on former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria, with John Abraham playing the lead role. The film is expected to release in early 2026. After completing this project, he will move on to ‘Golmaal 5’. The comedy sequel will reportedly reunite the original cast and target a 2027 release
