RJ Mahvash defends Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia for India’s Got Latent Season 1 controversy: 'I will still support them'

RJ Mahvash, known for radio to acting journey, is set for Satrangi: Badle ka Khel releasing on OTT May 22, 2026. Known for her journey from radio to actor, RJ Mahvash is now preparing for the release of her latest project, ‘Satrangi: Badle ka Khel’. The series, which also features Anshuman Pushkar and Kumud Mishra, will start streaming on OTT from May 22, 2026. During a recent interaction, Mahvash reflected on her close friendship with Samay Raina and several fellow creators, adding that she will continue to stand by and support them.

During an interview with Pinkvilla, Mahvash shared that Samay Raina had personally invited her to be a part of the second season of his comedy talent show. Recalling their conversation, she said, “When we were shooting for a show, Samay asked me if I would attend the next season of his comedy talent show. And I told him I would definitely come for the show.” Mahvash further revealed that she never knew him during his tough time. She said, “I was watching it from third spectacle. I had spoken to Ranveer (Allahbadia).”

Mahvash on friendships and support for creators

She also spoke about the support she received from fellow creators during the launch of her production’s debut film ‘Section 108’, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Regina Cassandra. Recalling the experience, she shared that she did not know many of them personally at the time, yet they still turned up for the trailer launch. Talking about it, she said, “I wasn’t knowing them on personal level. For me, Ranveer, Ashish and all them were big people. So I called them for the trailer launch and they all showed up. And so for me, that is real friendship. However wrong they will be, I will still support them. I agree that they were wrong, but humans do make mistakes. So let’s not roast them further. Since I know, them as humans and they are great guys. They never cross their line and disrespect others.”

RJ Mahvash is preparing for the release of her upcoming web series ‘Satrangi: Badle ka Khel’, which is scheduled to premiere on May 22. Alongside this project, she is also busy shooting for Remo D’Souza’s romantic comedy ‘Tedhi Hain Par Meri Hain’. Go to Source
