Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have managed to keep their wedding plans under wraps, despite the staggering speculations across the internet. While many believe that New York City’s classic arena, Madison Square Garden, is the ultimate venue for the high-profile couple, the insiders suggest that the duo initially had serene coastal wedding plans. The 36-year-old singer’s Rhode Island mansion made headlines for her rumoured bachelorette party, after several of her close friends were spotted there. However, the engaged couple had reportedly booked venues on the coasts to assess and execute their plans, but one reason led them to revise the itinerary. Here’s a closer look at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s almost Rhode Island wedding.

Taylor Swift planned venues across the Rhode Island coast

Taylor Swift possesses a dazzling Rhode Island summer mansion in the luxurious Watch Hill neighbourhood of Westerly, where she has been celebrating July 4th for many years. The ‘Lover’ singer and the NFL star eyed a wedding near the beach; however, the plans were discarded due to security reasons. “Taylor and Travis really wanted their wedding in Rhode Island, and June 13 was the date, but security wouldn’t have worked because it could get out of hand with that kind of scale of an event,” the US Weekly report claimed.“Ocean House [in Westerly] was planned at one point, and then plans changed to New York,” the outlet stated, before adding, “Rhode Island wasn’t great because the nature of the access and the perimeters were too difficult to secure.” While everything was planned for the wedding, the dates and venues had to change as many people wanted to attend the wedding.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce: Madison Square Garden for the win

As per The New York Times report, the billionaire singer and her tight end fiancé will have a New York City touchdown for the July 4, 2026 weekend. The permit was with the city to close the streets around the stadium from July 2, 2026, to midday July 4, 2026, for an event held on July 3, 2026. The Amtrak Police, who control security beneath the arena, have been asked to expect Taylor Swift around the weekend. Meanwhile, many members of the Kansas City Chiefs team have booked the hotel rooms for the dates around July 3, 2026, in Times Square. Go to Source
