Rashmika Mandanna says she already feels like a mother, deeply protective of her future children amid engagement with Vijay Deverakonda: 'I would go to war for them'

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s engagement news has become the talk of the town. The ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor’s team confirmed the engagement on 4 October 2025. While neither of them shared any post or made an official announcement, reports suggest that the two are expected to tie the knot next year.Amidst all the excitement around their engagement, Rashmika opened up about something even more emotional, her thoughts about motherhood and her future children.

Rashmika Mandanna shares emotional thoughts on motherhood

In a chat with Gulte, the ‘Animal’ actress revealed how she already feels deeply protective towards her future children, even though they are not born yet. She said she would do anything to keep them safe and sound.The ‘Goodbye’ actress shared, “I’m not even a mother, but I already feel…I know I’m gonna have kids, and I love that that’s going to happen. But I already feel something so strongly for these little humans that are not even born yet. I want to do everything for them. I want to keep them so safe, so protected. And if I’m supposed to get into a war, I need to be fit enough to go to war for them. I’m already thinking about that.”

Rahul Ravindran talks about Rashmika’s strong emotions

Rashmika’s ‘The Girlfriend’ director, Rahul Ravindran, also spoke about her nurturing side. He mentioned that as a father, he feels the need to stay alive and strong for his children. Rahul added that whatever Rashmika feels now will only become stronger when she becomes a mother.Agreeing with his words, Rashmika admitted that her emotions for her future kids are already intense, and she is preparing herself mentally and physically to protect them when the time comes.

Rashmika Mandanna reveals her life and career timeline

The ‘Pushpa’ actress also shared that she has planned her life in clear stages. She explained, “I always had in mind, twenty to thirty, it’s like put your head down and keep working. Because that’s what society has put in our heads. We need to make a living, we need to have our own money. I knew that thirty to forty was always going to be a work-life balance, and I have to ensure that it happens. And forty onwards, I still haven’t thought that far.”

Rashmika Mandanna on the work front

Rashmika has had a busy year with several big releases. She starred in films like ‘Chhaava’, ‘Sikandar’, ‘Kuberaa’ and ‘Thamma’. Her upcoming film ‘The Girlfriend’ is releasing in theatres on November 7, 2025. She also has two more projects lined up, ‘Cocktail 2’ and ‘Mysaa’. Go to Source
