Rani Mukerji breaks down as Karan Johar reads daughter Adira’s emotional letter for ‘best mother in the world’ on 30-year career milestone

Rani Mukerji, who is gearing up for ‘Mardaani 3’, is set to hit theatres on January 30. The actress has also hit a major personal milestone. She recently completed 30 years in the industry. To celebrate the moment, an event was hosted where Karan Johar made the event even more emotional by reading out a handwritten letter from Rani’s daughter, Adira, addressed to her “Mamma”.

A video from the celebration has now gone viral online. In the clip, Johar reads Adira’s letter slowly, letting every line sink in. The note feels warm, honest, and adorably direct. It instantly touched fans because it sounded like the kind of love only a child can express without filters.Adira begins with pure affection and writes, “Hello Mama, first of all I just want to say how much I love you. You are the best mother in the world.” She also highlights the memories they’ve shared, from joyful to funny moments, making the letter feel deeply personal and real.

Adira doesn’t stop at compliments. She adds her own observations about what she likes, what she doesn’t, and what she thinks she has inherited. She also points out their differences in taste, saying, “We might be a bit different like how you like bold colours and I like pastel.”
