Ranbir reveals dad Rishi was ‘Ganpati’ bhakt

It was Rishi Kapoor’s birthday on September 4 and just as family and his fans remembered him on the day, Ranbir Kapoor visited a Ganpati pandal on the occasion. A video of him has now gone viral on the internet as he remembered his late father. Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni had also dropped emotional posts for Rishi Kapoor on his birth anniversary. In this viral video, shared by Filmygyan, Ranbir can be heard saying, “Aaj Papa ka birthday hai. Woh bhi Ganpati ke bohot bade bhakt the. Meri khushnaseebi hai ki main yahan hoon. Yehi chahunga ki mujhe har saal bulaya jaye aur main har saal aau.”

Neetu Kapoor pays touching tribute to Rishi Kapoor on his 73rd birth anniversary

On the occasion of her father Rishi Kapoor’s 73rd birth anniversary, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni took to social media on Thursday to pay a heartfelt tribute. She shared a warm family photograph with a caption that read, “We celebrate you everyday Papa missed, and remembered-always. Love you… You are loved, Happy Birthday.” Riddhima, who often revisits fond memories of the late actor, also posted an emotional video montage for the special day. She wrote along with the video, “You will always remain in our hearts. Happy birthday,” a message that touched fans deeply. Meanwhile, Neetu Kapoor too marked the day by sharing a clip from Rishi Kapoor’s celebrated stage production, Khullam Khulla – Live with Rishi Kapoor, inspired by his autobiography of the same title. The video captured Rishi in his element, performing a theatrical rendition of excerpts from his life story, charming audiences with his wit and candour.In his autobiography, Rishi had spoken about his life journey and several aspects of his life. He had also confessed that he was not the ‘friend’ kind of father to his children and hoped that Ranbir is a different father than what he was.
