Ranbir Kapoor teases 'Animal Park' update in special message to Japanese fans - WATCH

Ranbir Kapoor may have fans waiting on edge for an update on his mythological epic ‘Ramayana’, but the actor, in a clip teased another highly awaited film – ‘Animal Park’. Kapoor sparked fresh excitement among fans by confirming that a sequel to ‘Animal’ is officially in the works. The actor shared the update in a video message, addressed to audiences in Japan, where the 2023 film was recently released in cinemas.

Introducing himself in the clip, Ranbir said, “My name is Ranbir Kapoor. I am a part of the film ‘Animal’, which has just released in Japan. I’m very excited that you guys will get to see this film. It is a film that is very close to my heart, so thank you for the love and support.”

Ranbir Kapoor teases ‘Animal Park’ update

The actor went on to drop the big tease, revealing that the team is already working on the sequel to the blockbuster. He said, “We are in the process of making a sequel to this film, and when that happens, I hope that we get to visit Japan and meet all you lovely people. Lots of love from India.”While Ranbir did not explicitly mention details about the sequel, reports stated that the film is confirmed to commence shooting in a year, mid-2027. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who is currently busy at work on his film ‘Spirit’, will reportedly turn his focus on the film after completing the current project which stars Prabhas and Triptii Dimri in lead roles.

About ‘Animal Park’

As per reports, the sequel ‘Animal Park’ will see Ranbir returning in a double role. The original film, directed by Vanga, and also starring Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, went on to earn an impressive Rs 900 crore at the box office. All eyes are now turned to the Japan box office to see if the film can woo the audience and enter the Rs 1,000 crore club. If the film can manage to hit the mark, it will be Ranbir’s first Rs 1,000 crore film.

On the work front, Ranbir is also awaiting the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ that will see him reuniting with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. He is also awaiting the release of ‘Ramayana – Part 1’ this Diwali. Go to Source
