Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ promotion bodyguard is an MMA fighter

As Ram Charan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming sports action drama movie, ‘Peddi’, he has been promoting the film visiting several cities and being part of multiple events. Recently he grabbed eyeballs after a picture of him with his bodyguard went viral online. It is suggested that his security personal is a professional MMA fighter.

Ram Charan bodyguard for ‘Peddi’ promotions

Kevin Kunta is said to be a professional MMA fighter. His strong personality, tall height and stylish appearance quickly grabbed attention everywhere. Photos and videos of him standing beside Ram Charan are now going viral on the internet. As per a report by Republic Media, Kevin Kunta is getting paid between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 4 lakh per day for protecting Ram Charan during public events and travels. If the reports are true, then Kevin could become one of the highest-paid celebrity bodyguards in Indian cinema. Kevin is originally from Gambia and currently lives in Florence. He is known among MMA followers and reportedly represented Italy’s national MMA team in 2021. His social media pages also feature videos of gym workouts, fitness training and mixed martial arts practice.

Ram Charan talks about shooting wrestling scenes

Speaking of Ram Charan, he himself has transformed his body into one of a professional wrestler. As the ‘RRR’ is seen as a wrestler, he underwent a muscular transformation. For his wrestling scenes, Ram Charan practiced with real fighters. During the trailer launch event, he said, “During the last 25-30 days of shoot, we were doing a kushti pehelwan (wrestling) shoot. I’ve asked him to get trained artists, but he’s gotten real pehelwans. Jab action kehte hain to zordaar pakadte hain.”

About ‘Peddi’

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, ‘Peddi’ is a sports action drama flick which shows Ram Charan in multiple avatars as a cricketer, wrestler and sprinter. He seems to be fighting for his people through sports and spirit. It features Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu and Jagapathi Babu in important roles. It also has a special appearance of Boman Irani and Ravi Kishan.The film is set to release on June 4.
