Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ mints over Rs 11 crore in advance bookings

'Peddi' mints over Rs 11 crore in advance bookings; Ram Charan's pan-Indian film set for massive opening

Only a few hours left for the release of ‘Peddi,’ and excitement is growing among movie fans. The rural sports drama stars Ram Charan in the lead role and is directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who impressed audiences with ‘Uppena.’ The film is set for a grand worldwide release on June 4, with special paid preview shows planned a day earlier in selected locations. Thanks to the strong promotional campaign, songs, trailer, and Ram Charan’s powerful transformation, the film has generated huge interest among audiences across India and overseas.

‘Peddi’ advance booking crosses impressive numbers

According to Sacnilk, ‘Peddi’ has already collected Rs 6.61 crore through advance ticket sales across India. Including blocked seats, the domestic advance booking value stands at around Rs 11.05 crore. The film has sold more than 2.76 lakh tickets for over 4,000 shows nationwide. Telugu-speaking regions continue to lead the bookings. Andhra Pradesh alone has contributed around Rs 4.43 crore in advance sales, while Telangana has added over Rs 1.23 crore. Trade circles expect the numbers to rise further as more theatres open bookings closer to release.

The overseas market shows strong support for Ram Charan

The overseas response has been equally encouraging. North America, one of the biggest international markets for Telugu cinema, has delivered excellent pre-sales for ‘Peddi.’ The film has reportedly crossed the Rs 7.6 crore ($800K) mark in advance bookings even before its premiere shows. Industry observers believe the movie could register one of the strongest openings in Ram Charan’s career overseas. The actor’s growing global popularity following his recent successes has clearly boosted the film’s reach and visibility among international audiences.

About ‘Peddi’

Apart from Ram Charan, ‘Peddi’ features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. The film showcases Ram Charan in multiple shades, including a sportsman, cricketer, and wrestler. The supporting cast includes Shiv Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, Boman Irani, Ajay Ghosh, and Tarak Ponnappa. Music is composed by AR Rahman, while Shruti Haasan appears in a special song. ‘Peddi’ is now heading towards a massive opening as advance bookings continue to gather momentum. Go to Source
