Rajat Bedi on his daughter being compared to Kareena

Rajat Bedi reacts to his daughter being compared to Kareena Kapoor Khan and becoming an internet sensation: 'She is overwhelmed'

Rajat Bedi has returned to the screen as Jaraj Saxena in Aryan Khan’s show ‘The Ba**ds of Bollywood’, but it isn’t just his performance that’s making waves. At the show’s Mumbai premiere, all eyes turned to his daughter, Vera Bedi, who accompanied him to the red carpet for the very first time. Social media was quick to notice her striking looks, with many even drawing comparisons to Kareena Kapoor.Comments flooded in online and Bedi’s daughter became an internet sensation overnight. A user said, “Better than Kareena with blue eyes,” wrote one user. Another gushed, “Both kids are so beautiful.” One post read, “More beautiful than Kareena,” while another pointed out, “Kareena’s aura is her aura, but she also looks alike, which we can’t deny.”For Rajat, this sudden shift in attention has been unexpected. He has now reacted to his daughter being compared to Kareena. “My whole family has got into the spotlight. It’s not just me alone. My children are exposed right now because of me and the show. They have gone viral, and it’s crazy,” he told Hindustan Times.Revealing how Vera has reacted to it, Rajat said, “She is just overwhelmed… because that attention is not just from India, but global… People are calling from America, Canada, London, Dubai, everywhere. She is so simple, and she has never been exposed to anything like this. This is the first time in her life that she has gone to a red carpet event with her father. She is so simple.”Having grown up in the film industry himself, Rajat knows that fame comes with it own burden and flip side. But when asked if he has told his children about the same, he said, “No, I have not yet spoken to them about how to deal with it. But they know they have to be humble, respectful with any and everyone. You’ll never see my children have any attitude or anything with anyone… That being said, this is all so new to them and they are also overwhelmed.”Interestingly, both of Rajat’s children are now considering careers in entertainment. Vivaan has already spent over two years assisting Aryan Khan on ‘The Ba**ds of Bollywood’. “When we talk about my son, planning is going on to launch him right now. So, God willing, you’ll see something on that soon,” Rajat revealed with excitement. When asked if his daughter is considering to be an actress, he said, “She is thinking about it. She never did, but now she is.” Go to Source
