Rajat Bedi defends Aryan for the ‘SRK ka Beta’ tag

Rajat Bedi defends Aryan Khan amidst chatter that he got everything on a platter being Shah Rukh Khan's son: 'Kisi aur ke bacche ko equipment..'

Rajat Bedi who was known for movies in the 90s and early 2000 made his huge comeback with Aryan Khan’s show ‘The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’. While the show has got rave reviews, there’s a huge section which believes that Aryan got everything on a platter being Shah Rukh Khan’s son. Many also believe that he’s not directed the show. However, in a recent interview, Rajat has defended Aryan and slammed the naysayers making these assumptions about Aryan just getting the privileges and not being good enough as a film-maker. When asked about it, Bedi said during a chat with Hindustan Times, “Kisi aur ke bacche ko equipment dekar dekh lo (give the same equipment to someone else’s child).” The actor added that the credit for the show, clearly goes to Aryan Khan and points out that he worked very hard. “The show is a result of Aryan and all his associates. That baccha (kid) has worked very hard. Please don’t ever feel that he is Shah Rukh’s son and he’s got everything on a platter. The boy has worked really hard. He doesn’t sleep. He’s been up and about,” Rajat added. He further revealed, “He shoots on his phone with his friends. He used to shoot the scene in the house and come the next day when the shoot was they and showed us… It was so cute.” Bedi shared what Aryan told him while offering him the part. He said, “It was just a thought in Aryan’s head. He told me ‘I’m going to write it, but I want you for this character’. He didn’t know what he was doing, but he knew that he wanted me.” Rajat is known for movies like ‘Koi Mil Gaya’. He plays the character of Jarat Saxena in ‘The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’, who is an actor struggling for the last 15 years in the industry after being popular once. He’s now forgotten and trying to make his mark again.
