Rajamouli’s old post saying ‘never liked Lord Rama’ resurfaces

SS Rajamouli's old tweet saying, 'never liked Lord Rama,' resurfaces amid comments about Lord Hanuman at the ‘GlobeTrotter’ event

During the much-anticipated ‘Varanasi’ event, technical glitches overshadowed SS Rajamouli’s presentation, prompting him to make unexpected statements regarding Lord Hanuman. This incident has brought to light a previous tweet in which he controversially expressed a preference for Lord Krishna over Lord Ram.

SS Rajamouli’s ‘GlobeTrotter’ event for his upcoming film ‘Varanasi’ at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City faced a technical glitch before the first title teaser was unveiled. The comments of the filmmaker at the event after the snag took over the internet by storm and didn’t go well with the netizens. And now, his old Twitter post about not liking Lord Ram has resurfaced on the internet. Here’s what happened.

SS Rajamouli’s old tweet about Lord Ram resurfaces

At the Hyderabad ‘GlobeTrotter’ event, the team faced several technical issues while showcasing the teaser of ‘Varanasi’ on the massive screen erected at the venue. After this, SS Rajamouli apologized to the audience who arrived for the event from across the country. He shared about his father, writer Vijayendra Prasad, telling him about his team having Lord Hanuman’s blessings.

Ss Rajamouli’s ‘I Don’t Believe In God’ Remarks Spark Outrage!

The filmmaker said in Telugu that he doesn’t believe in God, but his father told him that Lord Hanuman will guide him. The director said that as soon as the glitch happened, he questioned his father’s faith, thinking if this was how the God was going to help him. He also revealed that his wife is a devotee of Lord Hanuman. And hence, before the team tried to showcase the teaser one more time, he said in Telugu, “Father, if your Hanuman saved me once, see if my wife’s Hanuman does it again. “While his clip from the event is going viral on social media, one of his old tweets from 2011 has resurfaced on the internet. In a reply to a Twitter post, he had expressed that he never liked Lord Rama and Lord Krishna is his favorite. The director had reportedly clarified the context of the post at that time. The tweet read, “But I never liked Lord Ram. Lord Krishna is my favourite of all the avatars.”
