Riteish Deshmukh’s historical epic, ‘Raja Shivaji’, continues to redefine the boundaries of regional cinema. Released on Maharashtra Day 2026, the film has not only captured the hearts of audiences but has also set the cash registers ringing across the country. After a historic first Monday, the film is now on the verge of crossing the prestigious Rs. 50 crore India net mark within its first seven days, a feat unprecedented for a Marathi-language production. Powered by Salman Khan’s viral surprise cameo appearance, the second weekend begins tomorrow and the Rs. 75 crore target is very much in sight.

The film opened to a thunderous Rs. 11.35 crore on Friday, driven by massive anticipation and Salman Khan’s viral cameo as Jiva Mahala. The momentum stayed rock-solid through the weekend, peaking on Sunday with Rs. 12.00 crore.However, the real surprise came on Day 4 with the film earned Rs. 5.60 crore, nearly doubling the previous record for the highest-ever first Monday for a Marathi film, previously held by Deshmukh’s ‘Ved’ at Rs. 3.02 crore. By the end of Tuesday (Day 5), the film had amassed a net collection of Rs. 44.40 crore, proving its sustained appeal beyond the initial hype.

On its first Wednesday, ‘Raja Shivaji’ maintained its grip on the box office. Collecting Rs. 4.25 crore, the film showed a minimal drop, common for high-budget spectacles. This brought the total India net collection to Rs. 48.65 crore and the total India gross to Rs. 57.70 crore.
