Late Dharmendra gave the Indian film industry 65 years. In his career span, he worked on several movies, and each of his cinematic pieces holds a special place for his fans. Like for actor Rahul Bhat, Dharmendra’s ‘Chupke Chupke’ will always be his favourite.While speaking to us, Rahul shared, “Dharam Ji lived an extraordinary life, and what an icon he was. A true star in every sense, but I’ve always believed he was also an extraordinary actor, far more nuanced than he was often given credit for.” He added, “His collaboration with Hrishikesh Mukherjee remains one of the most cherished chapters in Hindi cinema, and my personal favourite will always be Chupke Chupke.”

Rahul Bhat’s tribute to Dharmendra

Remembering the iconic star, ‘Kennedy’ star shared, “As we say goodbye, I’m reminded not just of his stardom, but of the effortless grace he brought to every performance, the charm, the instinct, the honesty. He gave us moments of pure joy and characters that became a part of our lives.”“A superstar, yes. But also a deeply gifted, beautifully natural actor, one who will live on in our memories and in the cinema he enriched. May his soul rest in peace,” he concluded.

Dharmendra passes away at 89

Legendary actor Dharmendra, breathed his last on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the age of 89 years at his residence in Mumbai. The actor was admitted to the Branch Candy Hospital earlier this month and was discharged as he was responding to the medicines and was recovering. On Monday afternoon, an ambulance was spotted outside his house, which took his mortal remains for cremation. His last rites were held in the presence of close family, friends and several Bollywood stars. Many film fraternity members even visited the Deol family at Dharmendra’s Juhu house after the funeral.
