Rags to Riches stories of Hollywood

Oprah Winfrey, the celebrity host and presenter, was born in a rural town in Mississippi. After her parents separated, she was raised by her grandmother. Joining her mother in a town, Winfrey was repeatedly abused for years while her mother worked as a maid. After running away, she found Father Vernon in Nashville, who helped her structure her life at 14. A couple of years later, she won a beauty contest, an on-air job with an African American radio station, and a scholarship from Tennessee State University, according to the Kennedy Center. Two years later, she had her own show, and the stars aligned with her hard work. Now, Oprah Winfrey has a legacy and a net worth of USD 4 billion.
