R Madhavan sends legal notice to health brand for using his clip as endorsement

R Madhavan slams health care brand for using clip from his interview as an endorsement to their product: 'What a shame!'

Actor R Madhavan has called out a healthcare brand for allegedly using his name and an interview clip without permission to promote its services. On Wednesday, the actor took to Instagram and revealed that he had issued a legal notice to the company over what he described as misleading use of his content.Expressing his anger, Madhavan wrote in his caption, “What a shame. How do these people and organization think they can get away with this. You cannot take a clip of somebody’s interview and make it part of your endorsement. Legal notice sent. Please ‼️BEWARE‼️ of these kind of professionals and organizations.”He wrote ‘fraud alert’ by sharing a screenshot of the reel and said, “This reel is making it sound like I’m endorsing their product. They have just taken a clip from an interview without any permissions and used it as an endorsement from my end. How are the public ever going to believe these people are their treatment!! Shame!” The controversial reel reportedly includes a clip from one of Madhavan’s earlier interviews where he speaks about losing weight in 21 days. The video is then followed by a man claiming to be a doctor, discussing the actor’s physical transformation, creating the impression that Madhavan supports the healthcare brand.Apart from Madhavan, the Instagram account has also allegedly used interview clips featuring filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Ram Kapoor while referring to their transformations. So far, the healthcare company has not responded publicly to Madhavan’s allegations or the legal notice. On the work front, Madhavan was last seen in Dhurandhar The Revenge, which performed strongly at the box office. He also has several upcoming projects in the pipeline, including G. D. N (Tamil), Adhirshtasaali (Tamil), and Circle, a bilingual film being made in Hindi and Tamil. Release dates for these films are yet to be announced.Meanwhile, rumours continue about Madhavan being part of Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, although there has been no official confirmation regarding his involvement.
