Producer Thanu on negative claims around Silambarasan’s discipline

Producer Thanu on negative claims around Silambarasan’s discipline and lateness on 'Arasan' sets: 'He arrives an hour early'

Producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu has come forward to strongly praise Silambarasan for his dedication and discipline during the shooting of ‘Arasan’. The film, directed by Vetrimaaran, is expected to release during Diwali this year. Over the past few months, several rumours spread on social media claiming that the movie’s shooting was delayed because Silambarasan was arriving late to the sets. Responding to these claims for the first time, Thanu dismissed the rumours and shared his experience working with the actor.

Thanu says Silambarasan arrives early at the sets

As reported by ABP Live, Thanu said he initially planned to talk about Silambarasan during the film’s audio launch but decided to address the topic now. According to him, Silambarasan had been growing his hair for nearly a year for another project directed by Desingh Periyasamy. However, after hearing the script of ‘Arasan’, the actor reportedly put aside the other project and completely transformed himself for Vetrimaaran’s film. Thanu said Silambarasan arrives at the shooting spot almost an hour before the scheduled time and works with full involvement. He also praised the actor as a “single-take artist” who continues to impress everyone on set with his performance.

Producer opens up about Simbu’s health issue during the shoot

Thanu also addressed reports about Silambarasan’s health during the film’s schedule in Kovilpatti. He confirmed that the actor did face health issues while shooting there. However, the producer clarified that director Vetrimaaran himself advised Silambarasan to take rest and recover properly. Thanu said the actor remains highly committed to giving more than what the director expects from him in every scene. According to him, Silambarasan is fully focused on making the film special and wants to satisfy the director with his hard work and dedication.

‘Arasan’ team confident about film’s big success

The producer further expressed confidence that ‘Arasan’ would become a major success in Silambarasan’s career. He compared the making of the film to a sculptor carefully shaping a beautiful statue. Thanu revealed that he recently watched a scene from the movie and was extremely impressed with how Silambarasan looked on screen. He also mentioned that the actor personally requested Anirudh Ravichander to compose music for the film. With strong performances and Vetrimaaran’s direction, expectations for ‘Arasan’ continue to grow among fans.
