Read on to know details on the box office performance of the film.

‘Vilayath Buddha’ box office collection day 2

After making Rs. 1.7 crore on Friday, according to Sacnilk, the movie only minted Rs. 1.10 crore on Saturday (early estimates). With this major dip, the film made Rs. 2.80 crore in total in the domestic market.

‘Vilayath Buddha’ day 2 occupancy

As far as the occupancy rate is concerned, ‘Vilaayath Budha’ recorded an overall 16.38% on Saturday. The morning shows saw 9.40% audience attendance, while the afternoon shows witnessed 14.73% occupancy. A slight rise was noticed in the evening shows with 16.21% occupancy, while the night shows saw the highest rate of 25.19%.

Stellar performances didn’t translate into box office numbers

Directed by Jayan Nambiar, the movie is backed by powerful performances. “It is good to see Prithviraj playing a raw character. The man has charm, and he makes the anti-hero appealing enough to make us root for him, but he falters a bit in the emotional scenes,” reads an excerpt from our review, praising the lead star. Shammi Thilakan’s performance as Bhaskaran Master also garnered applause. “Shammi is super as the Bhaskaran Master, making us laugh at him, sympathise with him and feel exasperated with his stubbornness,” says our review. Further, actors who charmed in supporting roles include Priyamvada Krishnan, Rajashree, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Anu Mohan. However, the praiseworthy performances couldn’t translate into box office numbers.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
