We wanted to show that women can also desire men and look at them in that way,” he said. The actor added that stories should not always be told through a male perspective alone. Prithviraj also admitted that he had been part of films in the past that contained problematic portrayals of women. However, he made it clear that his outlook had changed with time. “I have acted in films that can be called misogynistic, but I do not want to do such roles anymore,” he said. The actor further stated that he would avoid characters that normalize unhealthy relationships. “I don’t want to be part of stories where a hero behaves badly towards a woman, and she still falls in love with him,” he added.
