The 69-year-old took his last breath on Monday, May 25, 2026, following his diagnosis of severe ALS. Pierre Deny played the character of Louis de Léon, father of Nicholas (Cindy’s boyfriend, now ex), and CEO of JVMA. He shared screens with the cast for three episodes and was prominently known in seasons 3 and 4. His son, whose actor is Paul Forman, shared a heartwarming tribute on his Instagram stories. “Heartbroken to hear of the passing of Pierre Deny,” he wrote, before adding, “It was a privilege to work alongside him and to witness his warmth and talent up close.”

The 32-year-old actor posted the message with a black and white picture, concluding with, “Thinking of his family and loved ones. Rest in peace.” Deny’s daughters confirmed his demise by giving a statement, “It is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny, which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS,” according to the French outlet TF1. Apart from ‘Emily in Paris,’ Deny has starred in over 300 episodes of the French soap opera ‘Demain Nous Appartient,’ as per People.
