Buchi Babu Sana opens up about Janhvi Kapoor’s role

In a conversation with Indian Express, Buchi Babu Sana said, “In my opinion, a lot of people misread Janhvi Kapoor’s track as unnecessary in an otherwise good story.”He talked about the deliberate need to show Ram Charan’s character “radical” drawing parallels with the film’s storyline as he is someone who comes from the hills. He also added how later in the film he wanted to correct him.“I wanted to show the rawness and later correct it in the end, saying that this guy is this way because of his upbringing and atmosphere. For such a character, he thinks he has to marry the woman he loves,” he said.He also acknowledged that during the filming process some shots turned out to be misleading and mentioned that they have trimmed those scenes. For the unversed, after the film’s release a huge section of the audience criticized the film over the scenes shot with Janhvi Kapoor. Audiences criticized camera angles that targeted her body instead of her character. The film also got heat due to a controversial scene where Ram Charan’s character kisses her without her apparent consent.

Buchi Babu Sana’s social media post
