'OG' box office collection Day 3 (Live): Pawan Kalyan starrer crosses Rs 110 crore mark after HUGE drop at ticket windows over weekend

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s film ‘They Call Him OG’, which had an early release on Thursday, September 25, debuted amidst much hype and anticipation. The film that sees the superstar in a gangster’s role managed to generate an impressive Rs 21 crore in advance ticket sales.

‘OG’ strong start signals a potential blockbuster

The film’s box office collection showed signs of being a super hit right from the start. As per Sacnlik, ‘OG’ recorded a collection of Rs 63.75 crore on the first day, creating a fairly busy moment in the theatres. The multilingual dubbed releases, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada also performed well. However, the collection seemed to decline on Day 2. According to reports, the film saw a huge drop in numbers to Rs 19.6 crore, on Friday. The decline was reported to be around 69%, as compared to the first day.

Surpasses Rs 110 crore in India in 3 days

On day 3, Saturday, the film reported an estimated collection of just around Rs 6.14 crore. This brings the total collection in the first three days to Rs 110.49 crore in India. Although the film’s revenue declined in some districts due to mixed reviews from critics, it was generally well-received in major cities. Pawan Kalyan’s acting skills, screenplay, and action sequences have received huge praise. Fans are showing their support for the film through memes, reactions, and reviews. It is expected that ‘They Call Him OG’ will continue its successful run.

‘OG’ opened with Rs 152 crore, confirm makers

Meanwhile, the makers of ‘OG’ officially confirmed the film’s day 1 box office collection, and alleged that the gangster drama earned an estimated Rs 152 crore globally on the opening day.Directed by Sujeeth, ‘OG’ revolves around a gangster’s return, and the film also has Emraan Hamsi, Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, and Prakash Raj among others.
