'OG' box office collection day 18: Pawan Kalyan's action drama mints Rs 1.34 crore on third Sunday

Pawan Kalyan’s ‘They Call Him OG’ is performing well, crossing Rs 191.44 crore domestically. The action drama, directed by Sujeeth, saw a strong opening and maintained steady collections through its second week. Despite a slowdown in the third, the film continues to draw audiences, with Sunday occupancy reaching 27.68%. Emraan Hashmi makes his Tollywood debut in the movie.

Pawan Kalyan’s action drama ‘They Call Him OG’, directed by Sujeeth, hit theatres on September 25. The film has been having a decent run at the box office. Eighteen days to its release, the film collected an estimated Rs 1.34 crore on its third Sunday, according to early reports.According to trade analyst Sacnilk, ‘They Call Him OG’ had a strong start at the box office, earning over Rs 169.3 crore in its first week. The film went on to collect Rs 18.5 crore in its second week, showing a steady performance. However, collections slowed down in the third week, averaging around Rs 1 crore per day. On its third Friday, that is day 16, the film earned Rs 83 lakh, followed by Rs 1.47 crore on Saturday on day 17. As per the latest reports, it added another Rs 1.34 crore on day 18. This brings the total collection to Rs 191.44 crore domestically. It became one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of the year.

Theatre occupancy

On Sunday, ‘They Call Him OG’ recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of 27.68%. The film saw a gradual rise in audience turnout throughout the day, starting with 20.50% occupancy during morning shows, which increased to 30.24% in the afternoon and peaked at 35.96% during the evening shows. However, the numbers dipped slightly for the night shows, being at 24.03%.

About ‘OG’

The film stars Pawan Kalyan as gangster Ojas Gambheera, who is a mob boss and disappears from Mumbai’s underworld. He returns to take over the rival crime lords after years, and in particular to take on Emraan Hashmi’s Omi Bhau.Emraan Hashmi makes his Tollywood debut with the film. Priyanka Mohan plays Kanmani, OG’s wife.
