Meaning of ‘Neer’

The name Neer primarily means “water” and is of Sanskrit and Hindi origin. It is associated with the five elements and the essence of life, symbolising purity and fluidity. A source confirmed to ETimes that the couple also chose the name Neer as a blend of their own names. “Nee comes from Parineeti, and R is the initial of Raghav,” the source explained. “Together, they form Neer.”

Parineeti and Raghav’s love story

Parineeti and Raghav, who got engaged in May 2023 at New Delhi’s Kapurthala House, were married later that year in a traditional ceremony at The Leela Palace, Udaipur, surrounded by loved ones. The actress had opened up on how she decided to marry Raghav, on Raj Shamani’s podcast. She had said, “We met at an event in London, and usually, I’d just say hi and move on, but this time, I said, ‘Let’s meet for breakfast’. Including our teams, it was around 8-10 of us, and we met at breakfast the next day. I had no idea who he was an what he did. I literally looked him up after the breakfast. I learned about all the work he’s done, and we realised, not even in weeks, in days, that we would get married.”

Work front

On work front, Parineeti was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Chamkila’. The actress finished shooting for a web project before she announced her pregnancy. More details on this are awaited. Go to Source
