Pankaj Tripathi to appear in a special cameo in Amit Rai's 'Dharma', film features 240 dogs

Director Amit Rai’s upcoming film ‘Dharma’ features child actor Maahi Rai and 240 dogs, celebrating the human-animal bond. Pankaj Tripathi will appear in a special cameo. The film targets families and is eyeing a July 24 release.

Director Amit Rai, who gave us ‘Oh My God 2’, is now working on his next film called ‘Dharma’. The film is almost ready and is quite different from most Bollywood films. Instead of having one main hero, the story is built around a dog, and every character in the film plays an important part. Child actor Maahi Rai is the face of the film, and it also stars Geeta Aggarwal Sharma and Rajesh Kumar, who is well known for his role in ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’. Now, as per the reports, Pankaj Tripathi will also be seen in a small but special role in the film.

Pankaj Tripathi’s film ‘Dharma’ celebrates the human-animal bond

‘Dharma’ brings together around 240 dogs on screen and is made for children and families who enjoy feel-good films. At its core, the film is a celebration of the special bond that humans share with animals, told through a story that is both emotional and entertaining.

Pankaj Tripathi’s cameo expected to leave an impact

According to Pinkvilla, ‘Dharma’ is a very special film for Amit Rai. The story is centered around a dog, and hence, there is no single lead character in the traditional sense. Every actor contributes significantly to the narrative. Pankaj Tripathi has come on board for a cameo that is expected to leave an impact. The makers have worked extensively with nearly 240 dogs and the makers are eyeing a release on July 24.

Pankaj Tripathi’s next big project is ‘Mirzapur The Film’

Up next, Pankaj will be seen in ‘Mirzapur The Film’, which is set to hit theatres on September 4. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, the film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. It boasts a massive ensemble cast including Ali Fasal, Rasika Duggal, Divyenndu, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Shweta Tripathi, Mohit Malik, Sheeba Chadha, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Sonal Chauhan, among others.
