As the whirlwind rumours around Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana’s wedding and personal life continue to spin out of control, the couple have seemingly shared an update. The couple, who had to put their wedding ceremony on hold, reportedly due to a medical emergency, have now updated their bio on social media, prompting speculation that the couple may just get their happy ever after, after all.

Both Palash and Smriti have now added the evil eye emoji to their Instagram bios. The nazar symbol is believed to ward off the evil eye. This update amid all the chatter and speculation has caught fans attention.

Palash’s mother gives fans an update

This update also comes at a time when Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal stepped in to clarify the situation, assuring fans and the media that the wedding has not been called off. Speaking to Hindustan Times, she said, “Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hain… Palash dreamt of coming home with his bride. I had even planned a special welcome… Everything will be fine, shaadi bohot jaldi hogi.”

All about the wedding drama

The wedding, originally scheduled for November 23, 2025, was postponed just hours before the ceremony, with Smriti’s father reportedly developing heart-attack-like symptoms. He was rushed to the hospital, following which, the groom-to-be reportedly suggested to call off the functions till Smriti’s dad recovers.However, with all the drama surrounding the wedding, vicious rumours began circulating online. The bride-to-be’s decision to take down all her posts related to the wedding, further raised ‘cheating’ rumours, even though no official statement had confirmed any trouble between the couple.Neither Palash nor Smriti has issued a formal statement addressing the latest round of speculation.
