Pahlaj: Govinda’s marriage will survive even if he has 10 affairs

Pahlaj Nihalani once clarified Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have always lived separately: 'Their marriage will survive even if he has 10 affairs'

Amidst swirling divorce rumors, film producer Pahlaj Nihalani’s past remarks defending Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s marriage have resurfaced. Nihalani, despite a past falling out with Govinda, asserted their bond was unbreakable, dismissing affair speculations. He highlighted their unconventional living arrangements, with separate homes for work and family, as a source of rumors.

Amid fresh divorce rumors surrounding Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja, film producer Pahlaj Nihalani’s old comments about the couple are resurfacing. In a throwback interview, Nihalani had defended their unconventional marriage, insisting that their bond was unshakable despite long-standing speculation about Govinda’s personal life.

Marriage strong despite rumours

Nihalani, who worked with Govinda on several films before they fell out, had once insisted that the couple’s bond was unshakable. Responding to long-standing rumours about Govinda’s alleged affairs, he told the Indian Express that no one could come between Sunita and Govinda, adding that their marriage would endure even if he had ten affairs. He also noted that the couple’s unconventional lifestyle often sparks rumours. Nihalani explained that Govinda and Sunita have always lived separately at times—Govinda would hold meetings in a different bungalow due to his late nights, while Sunita stays by his side and manages his daily shows and business matters.

Sunita clarifies living arrangements

Interestingly, Sunita herself had acknowledged that she and Govinda live in separate houses, though she later clarified the situation. In an interview with Hindi Rush, she explained that they have two homes—a bungalow opposite their apartment. She stays in the flat with their children and her temple, while Govinda often stays late after meetings, socializing with friends.Although Pahlaj Nihalani admitted he is no longer in regular touch with the couple, he revealed that he visited Govinda after the actor’s recent gunshot accident and described Govinda and Sunita as “the best of friends.”See more: Sunita Ahuja once broke silence on divorce rumors with Govinda: If anyone dares to separate us…’
