‘One Piece Season 2’: Ending explained

The Drum Island is a forgotten corner in the world, locked away in a blanket of snow and fear. The reindeer-turned-doctor who ate the Human Human Fruit, Tony Tony Chopper, has successfully lived a peaceful life with the gruff Dr. Kureha. However, the peace is short-lived, and King Wapol is back, determined to take back his throne. He, brought to life by Rob Colletti in the live action, wields the Munch-Munch Fruit’s bizarre power. He devours objects, his own soldiers, and even castle walls, spitting them back as grotesque weapons and armored minions.Princess Nefertari Vivi urges the Straw Hats to help. However, Monkey D. Luffy, always the hero, inspires Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Zoro, and the others. The villagers, led by Dalton, also join the cause of the rebels. Sanji makes a diversion with his fiery kicks, while Chopper zooms through the fight in his beast mode. Zoro cuts through the mechanical soldiers with his sword, and Nami uses her weather tricks to give the Straw Hat crew an advantage.

Battle in the castle

The battle rages on as Wapol’s combined army attacks the castle. Luffy attacks Wapol, but it is difficult to defeat the king due to his powers of regeneration. He fights Luffy with all his might and leaves him in a bad condition. The tide of the battle turns in favor of the Straw Hat crew with a combined effort. Sanji catches Luffy as he hangs onto Sanji’s leg with his kicking motion. Together, Sanji and Luffy kick Wapol far away from the island in exile. Wapol’s army return to their normal form as ordinary humans. The victory of the Straw Hat crew brings happiness to Drum Island. Dr. Kureha pays her respects to her old friend Hiriluk by launching his cherry blossom medicine. As celebration fades, trouble brews elsewhere. Marine Captain Smoker and Lieutenant Tashigi intercept a twisted Den Den Mushi call. This misidentifies the Straw Hats as kidnappers of Vivi and collaborators with Baroque Works head Sir Crocodile. The chase is on, foreshadowing more intense battles to come. This is a well-crafted Episode 8 that prepares fans for Season 3. The Straw Hats are now stronger sailors to face the challenges in the Grand Line. Go to Source
