While Kalyani Priyadarshan’s ‘Lokah’ continues its golden run at the box office, her other 2025 release, ‘Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira,’ has not managed to hold ground in the box office. The film, which also stars Fahadh Faasil in the lead, opened in theaters on August 29 as an Onam release. However, after a lukewarm response from audiences, the movie is now gearing up for its digital debut.

Expected release on this OTT platform

As per OTT Play reports, ‘Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira’ is likely to premiere on Netflix on September 26, 2025. The platform and the makers have not issued an official confirmation yet.

‘Lokah’ crosses ₹200 crore! Kalyani Priyadarshan ‘proud to be India’s first female superhero’

Directed and written by Althaf Salim, the story revolves around Aby and Nidhi, a couple preparing to tie the knot. Although the story revolved around an important subject, which is mental health, the majority of the audiences were left disappointed. As reported by the Sacnilk website, the Fahadh Faasil starrer only managed to collect Rs 2.12 crores from Kerala in 20 days. With such low collections and occupancy figures, the movie is on the verge of being washed out from cinemas, and also ‘Lokah’ has almost taken over its control over the majority of the screens.

Our verdict for the Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer

ETimes gave the film only a rating of 1.5 stars out of 5, and an excerpt from our official review says, “The single most upsetting thing is that every single character, including the female lead, seems to be written in with a mental disorder, without explanation. Anyway, after some more romantic confusions, the film ends, without really elevating itself at any point.”After the OTT release, it is expected that ‘Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira’ will be getting much traction from the audiences. The movie also features the actors Vinay Forrt, Idavela Babu, Niranjana Anoop, Lal, and Dhyan Sreenivasan in pivotal roles. Go to Source
