Nick Reiner Trust Fund Petition

Late Bob Reiner's son Nick files petition to take money from his $1.5 million trust fund: 'He can buy basic support items'

TRIGGER WARNING: This article contains mention of death.Nick Reiner, the son of the late stars Bob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, has filed a petition to request the money from his trust fund. As Hollywood awaits the murder trial of the stars, the 32-year-old stated that the distribution of the dollars should have been made when he turned 30.

Nick Reiner demands a share of his trust fund

Nick Reiner, the middle child who was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in relation to his parents’ case and who has pleaded not guilty, has demanded one-half of the trust fund. The petition states that he will receive the first half after he turns 30, and the other half at the age of 35. “Nick loved his parents, and he is devastated by their deaths,” the statement in the petition states, per People, before adding, “But the facts about what did and did not happen to them are not at issue in this Trust litigation.”

Nick Reiner did not receive the mandatory amount

The late stars established a “smaller, separate trust for his individual benefit,” which is referred to as ‘Nick’s Trust,’ along with their two children, Romy and Jake. Bob Reiner also adopted his first wife’s daughter, Tracy. Reportedly, not only did he not receive the mandatory amount, but he is also not aware of the total amount, which the petition claims to be above USD 1.5 million.Nick demands the money, “so that he can buy basic support items while incarcerated (e.g., socks and personal hygiene items like soap) within the low spending limits imposed by the jail.” The petition further claims, “The trust does not authorize the Trustee to condition these distribution points on any subjective assessment by the Trustee as to Nick’s intended use of those funds.”
