Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of Bollywood’s most talented actors. He has come far and established himself as a dependable star in the industry. Recently, he opened up about being compared to Irrfan Khan and being looked up to to fill the vacuum left by the late actor.

At the NDTV event, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was asked if he feels that the vacuum left after Irrfan Khan’s demise is supposed to be filled by him. To which, the ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ actor quickly responded that he is not in films to do any of that. He said, “I am not here to fill any vacuum. I have a lot of weaknesses within me, and I have to focus on that. I have my own journey, a personal one.”

The actor continued saying he has to deal with his issues and not anyone else’s. He said, “I did not come into this industry for anyone. I know my weaknesses, and through my characters I want to focus on how to deal with them.”The actor concluded his answer on the same note, saying, “God has given you so much; focus on that. You don’t have to look at other actors around you.”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s projects

In 2025, the actor was seen in ‘Thamma’, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. It was released in theaters in November last year. He also featured in an OTT film, ‘Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders’. The movie premiered in December 2025. Next, he has been roped into the much-anticipated project, ‘Tumbbad 2’. The movie is a sequel to the 2018 cult horror flick. It featured Sohum Shah as the lead actor. He was also the producer of the movie.Apart from that, Nawazuddin Siddiqui reportedly has projects titled ‘Section 108’, ‘Noorani Chehra’, ‘Sangeen’, and more.
