Mom-to-be Deepika oozes pregnancy glow as she returns to Mumbai

Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone oozes pregnancy glow as she returns to Mumbai after Cape Town schedule of King with Shah Rukh Khan

After wrapping up a shooting schedule in Cape Town for Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King, actor Deepika Padukone returned to Mumbai in the early hours of Thursday, marking her first public appearance since announcing her second pregnancy with husband Ranveer Singh. The actress was spotted at the Mumbai airport in a relaxed denim-on-denim look, pairing an oversized shirt with matching pants, comfortable shoes, and a handbag. With her hair tied back, Deepika looked radiant as she smiled warmly at the paparazzi and happily posed for photographs before heading to her car. Fans were quick to point out her visible pregnancy glow in the viral videos from the airport.

Leaked BTS clips from King

Deepika had been shooting in Cape Town alongside Shah Rukh Khan for King, one of the most anticipated films currently in production. While the makers have managed to keep most details under wraps, leaked behind-the-scenes visuals from the South African schedule have been circulating online over the past few days. The viral clips show Shah Rukh and Deepika filming what appears to be a romantic song sequence by the sea, complete with dramatic rocky backdrops and energetic choreography involving background dancers. However, it wasn’t just the chemistry between the actors that caught fans’ attention. Eagle-eyed social media users also speculated that Ranveer Singh and the couple’s daughter Dua may have been present on set.In one of the clips doing the rounds online, a man holding a baby can briefly be seen in the background, prompting fans to wonder if it was Ranveer spending time with daughter Dua while Deepika filmed. Though there has been no official confirmation from the couple.

Ranveer Singh is focusing on fatherhood

Earlier, reports had suggested that Ranveer has consciously shifted his focus towards family life following the birth of Dua. Reports claimed that while Deepika has been busy shooting King in South Africa, Ranveer has been taking care of their daughter and spending quality time with her despite juggling his own work commitments amid the success of Dhurandhar franchise. The report further added that Dua’s arrival has brought a major shift in Ranveer’s priorities and lifestyle.

Work front

Meanwhile, King will mark yet another on-screen reunion for Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone after blockbuster films like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Pathaan, and Jawan. The film also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Rani Mukerji in pivotal roles and is slated for a Christmas 2026 release. On the work front, Deepika has also been in the news for conversations around work-life balance in the film industry post motherhood. Reports previously claimed that the actress advocated for eight-hour work shifts and stepped away from projects like Spirit starring Prabhas and the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD.Ranveer, meanwhile, is reportedly focusing on Pralay after stepping away from Don 3.
