Superstar Mohanlal’s 2012 action thriller ‘Run Baby Run’ is set for a grand re-release in a stunning 4K remastered version with Dolby Atmos sound. Directed by Joshiy and co-starring Amala Paul, the film, which captivated audiences with its fast-paced narrative and exploration of media ethics, returns to theatres on December 5, offering fans a revitalized cinematic experience.

Mohanlal fans have another reason to celebrate as the superstar’s hit thriller ‘Run Baby Run’ directed by Joshiy is gearing up for a grand re-release. The veteran actor himself shared the news about the release, this time, in an enhanced quality format.

Restored in 4K and Dolby Atmos

The actor, during an appearance on Manorama News, shared that the 2012 blockbuster, which also stars Amala Paul in the lead, will return to theatres on December 5 in a brand-new 4K remastered version accompanied by Dolby Atmos sound.

About the film ‘Run Baby Run’

‘Run Baby Run’ is an action thriller directed by Joshiy, featuring Mohanlal as the protagonist Venu, a high-profile news cameraman, and Amala Paul as Renuka, a senior editor. The film is set in the world of news media, revolving around Venu and Renuka as they collaborate to uncover and expose a major political scandal involving a corrupt politician, Bharathan Pillai.

The story opens with Venu returning to Kochi to appear for a court case and being assigned to cover a political story, during which he reunites with Renuka. The film delves into themes of media ethics, power struggles, and the thrill of investigative journalism. The thriller was widely praised upon its release for its slick storytelling, sharp editing and fast-paced narrative. ‘Run Baby Run’ was commercially successful and became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of that year. The movie also features Biju Menon, Shammi Thilakan, Vijayaraghavan, and Sai Kumar.On the work front, he was last seen in the comedy drama, ‘Hridayapoorvam’ directed by Sathyan Anthikad.
