Mika Singh offers Rs 11 lakh help to Rajpal Yadav

Mika Singh offers Rs 11 lakh help to Rajpal Yadav in Rs 9 crore debt case, after celebs like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Sonu Sood come in support

Rajpal Yadav is currently facing one of the most challenging phases of his life. The actor recently surrendered at Tihar Jail in connection with a Rs 9 crore debt and cheque bounce case. As members of the film industry continue to step in with financial assistance, singer Mika Singh has now announced his support and has pledged to offer support of Rs 11 lakh. Earlier many other celebs like Sonu Sood, Guru Randhawa among others have also come forward to show their support. Mika said, as he was quoted by Viral Bhayani, “To Rajpal Yadav ji, I stand firmly with you during this time. I am contributing Rs 11 lakh as a small gesture of support and solidarity. You have brought countless smiles to millions of people, and today it’s our turn to stand by you. I sincerely urge everyone from our film fraternity to come forward and support in whatever way they can. We are one family, and we must always stand united for our own.”Earlier, in an interview with SCREEN, Rajpal’s manager Goldie revealed that several big names from the industry have reached out. He shared, “A lot of people have reached out to help Rajpal Yadav. Actors like Sonu Sood, Salman Khan, and Ajay Devgn have extended their support. I was just on a call with David Dhawan, he too reached out. Ratan Nain, Varun Dhawan… many people are coming forward to help him this time, which Rajpal has deeply appreciated.” Goldie also noted that the industry has stood by Rajpal “like a rock,” adding that such solidarity deserves recognition.Rajpal Yadav is currently serving a six-month sentence after the Delhi High Court dismissed his last-minute plea in the prolonged cheque bounce case. He surrendered at Tihar Jail on February 5. A hearing regarding his bail is set to take place tomorrow, February 12. The issue traces back to 2010, when Yadav borrowed Rs 5 crore from M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd to finance his directorial debut, Ata Pata Laapata. The film failed commercially, leaving him burdened with debt. Before surrendering, he spoke to Bollywood Hungama about his financial situation, saying, “Sir, kya karoon? Mere paas paise nahin hain. Aur koi upaay nahin dikhta (sir, what to do? I don’t have the money to pay back. Can’t see another way out).”When asked if he had sought assistance from colleagues at the time, Rajpal responded candidly, “Everyone is on their own in the industry.”
