Famed ‘X-Men’ actor Michael Fassbender recently appeared as a completely new character on the brand-new ‘Kennedy’ series. The 49-year-old went viral after photos and videos of him filming for the upcoming OTT show circulated online. Fassbender, who is best known for his roles in ‘Prometheus’, ‘Black Bag’, and ‘Inglourious Bastards’, will be appearing as the patriarch of the family, Joe Kennedy Sr.

The upcoming OTT series titled ‘Kennedy’ has already started filming, and glimpses of the cast stepping back into history have been going viral lately. ‘X-Men’ star Michael Fassbender was also spotted filming for the show on April 20. His full transformation as Joe Kennedy Sr. sent fans into a frenzy; the actor became completely unrecognizable.Many fans and netizens compared his transformation to the real Joe Kennedy Sr., noting that the two looked almost the same. Many praised the makeup artists behind the famous actor’s overall transformation for the show.To transform into Kennedy Sr., Fassbender sported a stunning grey trench coat worn over a chic suit and tie. He completed his outfit for the role by adding thick, round black glasses and a classic black fedora. In the photos released online, the actor had a smile on his face and stacks of newspapers in his hand.

‘Kennedy’ is an upcoming series set to be released directly on Netflix. It explores the lives of one of America’s most famous families. The official logline, according to PEOPLE, reads: “Kennedy reveals the intimate lives, loves, rivalries, and tragedies that shaped the most iconic dynasty in modern history, and helped create the world we live in today.”The series is set to explore the early years of John Fitzgerald Kennedy and his life, with Joe Kennedy Sr. as the main focal point. Along with Fassbender, the show will also include Laura Donnelly as Rose Kennedy, Nick Robinson as Joe Kennedy Jr., Joshuah Melnick as Jack Kennedy, Lydia Peckham as Rosemary Kennedy, Saura Lightfoot-Leon as Kick Kennedy, Ben Miles as Eddie Moore, Cole Doman as Lem Billings, and Imogen Poots as Gloria Swanson.
