Meghan and Harry’s Australia trip sparks Palace backlash

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Australia trip sparks fury inside Buckingham Palace: 'Point about being a working royal is...'

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s recent trip to Australia has stirred up considerable controversy, with insiders suggesting the visit has not gone down well with the royal family back home. The couple’s unofficial tour has been described as deeply angering to The Firm, with sources close to Buckingham Palace reportedly using the words “pretty outrageous” to describe how the Duke and Duchess conducted themselves during their time Down Under.According to the Daily Express, the Palace took particular issue with what was described as “royal-tour choreography” being used for commercial purposes. “In a realm where King Charles III is Head of State, to drum up all this publicity for their commercial endeavors,” the report said. “The whole point about being a working royal is that they do it for others and for public service, not their bank balance.”

What Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly earned from the Australia trip

Financial expert Ted Jenkin, Managing Partner of Exit Wealth Advisors, claimed the couple brought in a significant sum from the visit. “Meghan and Harry could make money from audience aggregation, premium access, brand leverage,” he told Page Six. “All totaled, this tour could fetch $10 million or more for Meghan and Harry. Anytime these two get in the public eye, it usually follows with a flowing cash register.”

Meghan Markle is thrilled, while Prince Harry is said to be uncomfortable

Interestingly, the two are said to have very different reactions to the financial outcome of the trip. According to The News, Meghan is reportedly delighted with what they earned. “She’s one of those people who gets a huge rush from hitting her goals; success is very addictive for her. Money has been a concern for her lately, so this cash infusion is a big win, and she’s proud of that,” the source said.Harry, on the other hand, is said to be far less at ease with the conversation around money. “For Harry, that’s actually uncomfortable. He was taught never to speak about money,” the same insider claimed. “The fact that she’s talking numbers a lot rubs him the wrong way; he sees it as very gauche.”With Buckingham Palace reportedly furious and the couple themselves seemingly at odds over how to feel about the trip’s outcome, the Australia visit appears to have created friction on more than one front for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
