‘Masti 4’ box office collection day 8

'Masti 4' box office collection day 8: The Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani films sees a huge drop on second Friday as 'Tere Ishk Mein' releases

‘Masti 4’ released in theatres on November 21 and clashed with Farhan Akhtar’s ‘120 Bahadur’. Both the movies had a similar start and both were not impressive. However, ‘120 Bahadur’ did end up having an edge over Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani starrer adult comedy. There were more positive reviews for the war drama. However, despite these two new releases, it was ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ which continued to dominate over the newer releases. And now on this Friday, November 28, Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s intense romantic drama ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ released which led to a further drop in the numbers of both these movies. ‘Masti 4’ opened at Rs 2.75 crore on day 1, Friday and repeated the same number on Saturday. Sunday (Day 3) brought a mild uptick to Rs 3 crore, but Monday (Day 4) saw a further decline with collections slipping to Rs 1.50 crore. On Tuesday, the film made Rs 1.6 crore and on Wednesday which was day 6, it minted Rs 1.15 crore. By the end of the first week, the collection of ‘Masti 4’ ended up at Rs 13.85 crore after the Thursday number which was Rs 1 crore. On Friday, day 8, the film has made just Rs 22 lakhs. It is evident that this decline could be due to the release of ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ as it must have occupied all the screens as the demand for ‘Masti 4’ and ‘120 Bahadur’ was already low. The total collection now of ‘Masti 4’ in India is Rs 14.07 crore net.

Day wise collection of the film:

Day 1 [1st Friday] ₹ 2.75 Cr Day 2 [1st Saturday] ₹ 2.75 Cr Day 3 [1st Sunday] ₹ 3 Cr Day 4 [1st Monday] ₹ 1.6 Cr Day 5 [1st Tuesday] ₹ 1.6 Cr Day 6 [1st Wednesday] ₹ 1.15 Cr Day 7 [1st Thursday] ₹ 1 Cr Week 1 Collection ₹ 13.85 Cr Day 8 [1st Friday] ₹ 0.22 Cr * early estimates Total ₹ 14.07 Cr
