Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Jungnuma’ received a lot of appreciation from the critics. However, before that, several filmmakers in the country praised the film. Filmmakers like Vetrimaaran, Nag Ashwin, and Lijo Jose Pellissery launched the film’s trailer on social media platforms. In a recent interview, Bajpayee was asked about the same and his plans to act in South movies.

Manoj Bajpayee expresses gratitude towards South filmmakers for rallying behind ‘Jugnuma’

In an interview with Mid-Day, Manoj Bajpayee expressed his gratitude towards everyone who supported the film. He shared that whenever he is in Chennai, he definitely meets director Vetrimaaran. The actor said that he admires his films. He said, “There is also [Thiagarajan] Kumararaja from Chennai, and so many makers from Karnataka and Kerala. We connect because our choices are the same.”The actor also gave a special shoutout to Anurag Kashyap for getting South filmmakers to cheer for ‘Jugnuma’.

In the same interview, Manoj Bajpayee was asked if he would be collaborating with the South filmmakers. The actor shared, “Their only complaint is that I don’t know the language. Otherwise, we are all mutual admirers. In fact, I would love to associate myself with Vetri.”

Directed by Chinmay Mandlekar, the film is based on how the real-life Mumbai cop Madhukar Zende caught the notorious criminal Charles Sobhraj.
