The internet is still reeling in shock over a security breach at the ‘Wicked: For Good’ premiere in Singapore, where a man broke through the barricades and grabbed singer-actress Ariana Grande. Videos of the shocking incident that took place at the grant event saw actress Cynthia Erivo springing into action to push back the man and protect Ariana. The videos have since gone viral on social media.

Man escapes arrest

Proudly showing off the video, he wrote, “Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You.” With fans of the actress were fuming over the security breach, some were able to locate the man’s official social media handles. The man, who goes by the name of Johnson Wen, seemingly has a history of pulling similar stunts with other global stars, including Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and pop icon Katy Perry.

Man pulled off same stunt on Virat Kohli

Clips circulating online, suggest that the same individual has previously managed to bypass security to get to the centre of the cricket field and hug Virat. Going by his posts, he had pulled off the stunt on Virat twice. “Virat Kohli thanks for letting me stay on the Field at the 2023 World Cup Final,” he captioned the post that saw him running on the field to hug Virat during the World Cup finals. He later recreated the stunt in December 2024.

In one resurfaced video, he can also be seen interrupting Katy Perry and ‘The Weeknd’s shows by running on-stage and embracing the singer while the security team rushed to take him off stage.

Only adding to the shock around Thursday’s incident, Wen even shared a video of himself said, “I’m free after being arrested.” He also posted a video in which he says, “I feel like I’m in a dream. That’s my best friend Ariana Grande and I’m gonna meet her.” Fans have since flooded social media demanding action. “How could it get away it’s literally INSANE, MENTALLY ILL,” urging authorities to take strict action against the man, another asked, “When will he be arrested?” ‘Wicked: For Good’ releases in theatres on November 21.
