Malaika spills her top 3 fitness secrets at the age of 50

Malaika Arora spills her top three fitness secrets to look like a million bucks at the age of 50: 'Ghee is my superfood'

Malaika Arora is one of the fittest celebs in B-town and she is just looking younger by the day. At 50, she continues to inspire so many women when it comes to her strength and drop-dead gorgeous looks. In a recent interview, Malaika has revealed her top three fitness tips which are really simple to imbibe but go a long way. Malaika opened up on the fitness rituals that she stands by – from not starving herself to having home cooked meals and yoga amidst more.

Malaika’s fitness tips

In a heart-to-heart with Soha Ali Khan on the podcast ‘All About Her’, Malaika shared that her fitness journey is shaped by discipline, mindful nutrition, and varied workouts. For her, everything boils down to three essentials, sleep, nutrition, and the mind-body connection. “I’ll be 50, but I feel I don’t… it’s just age for me. It’s not something that defines me,” she said, stressing how she refuses to let age dictate her mindset.Food, for Malaika, is the foundation of good health. She believes in keeping it simple and wholesome. “Eat basic, home-cooked meals,” she insists. Malaika adds, “Ghee is my superfood. Sleep, water, discipline, consistency, taking care of these things makes a huge difference in your life, and I truly live by these certain principles in life.”She follows portion control but never compromises on nourishment. After a workout, her plate is filled with home-cooked food like eggs, toast, or dosas rather than packaged supplements. On days she wants a protein boost, she makes her own shakes using bananas, dates, and nuts. “I don’t really believe in powder,” Malaika explains, adding that while supplements may work for others, she relies on natural nutrition. For Malaika, fitness is not about extremes but about balance. “I will not starve. That’s my only thing. Do not starve. And I carry food… everything gets carried because that’s how I am,” she says.

Her practical workout routine

Malaika maintains a straightforward approach to workouts, which is to avoid training on a heavy stomach, but don’t stay empty either. “I don’t work out on a full stomach… I wake up early. I work out and then I eat a full meal,” she explains. This balanced rhythm helps her stay energised and stress-free, ensuring that fitness remains a source of joy rather than pressure. Go to Source
