Mahesh Babu remembers Superstar Krishna on birth anniversary; writes, ‘Forever my hero, nanna”

Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu marked the birthday anniversary of Telugu cinema legend Krishna, as the ‘Varanasi’ star remembered his late father in an emotional post calling him, “Forever my hero.”

Mahesh Babu took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to share the iconic picture of him and his father sitting together during a family gathering. The picture captures the two in a candid playful moment where they can be seen smiling. Along with the photo, he wrote, “Forever my hero….Happy Birthday Nanna.”

Namrata’s loving wish

Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata Shirodkar also paid tribute to her father-in-law on his special day. She shared a black-and-white portrait of Krishna on social media and remembered him with affection.Sharing the picture, Namrata wrote, “Remembering you with love always. Happy birthday Mamayya!” along with folded hands and white heart emojis. Her post received love from fans who appreciated the family’s continued remembrance of the legendary actor.

Remembering Superstar Krishna

Krishna, whose full name was Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, was one of the biggest stars in Telugu cinema. He enjoyed a career that lasted for more than five decades and acted in over 350 films. Some of his most loved films include ‘Gudachari 116’, ‘Alluri Seetarama Raju’, ‘Mosagallaku Mosagadu’, ‘Pandanti Kapuram’, ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’, ‘Agent Gopi’ and ‘Simhasanam’.Fondly called ‘Superstar Krishna’, he earned a special place in the hearts of movie lovers through his remarkable contribution to the film industry.Krishna passed away on November 15, 2022, at the age of 79 following a cardiac arrest.

About ‘Varanasi’

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu will be seen in the upcoming time travel adventure drama ‘Varanasi’ directed by SS Rajamouli. Mahesh Babu plays Rudra and also features Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Mandakini and Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the main antagonist as Kumbha.The film is set to hit the big screens on April 7, 2027.
