Madhuri Dixit shares key to a long-lasting relationship – Exclusive

Married for over 25 years, Madhuri Dixit shares key to a long-lasting relationship: ‘Being there for each other in your losses’

In a world where terms like ‘situationship,’ ‘benching’ and more are finding their foothold, there are people who believe in old-school romance. Some people still define a relationship in terms of respect and the consistent efforts of growing together. Bollywood’s ‘Dhak Dhak’ queen Madhuri Dixit is without a doubt one of them.

Relationship 101 ft. Madhuri Dixit

During an exclusive conversation with us, the ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’ actress revealed what, according to her, is needed to form a long-lasting relationship. “Mutual respect and taking pride in each other’s wins,” said the actress who has been married to Dr. Shriram Nene for over 25 years now.She added, “And being there for each other in your losses; that’s the basic thing.” Madhuri Dixit was at the peak of her career when she got married. She was winning all accolades, ruling hearts, keeping the cash registers ringing at the box office. At that point, the actress chose family and relationship over work. She spent years nurturing her family, and when she felt the time was right to make a comeback, the actress returned to Bollywood and once again impressed all with her sheer talent. Having experienced the best of both worlds and still navigating like a pro, Madhuri mentioned that in addition to love and respect, the key is that “You should always be together, and your goals should be to ensure that your kids or family around you are always taken care of.”

More about Madhuri Dixit and Dr Shriram Nene

On the one hand, where the entire country was in awe of Madhuri’s charm, Dr. Sriram Nene was clueless about her star status. They met during an arranged marriage set-up, and Dr Nene didn’t know the girl in front of her was a Bollywood diva. Fortunately, this worked in his favor, and things took a turn for the better. In 1999, the two got married and moved to the USA. They led a beautiful life together in the States and embraced parenthood. The couple has two handsome boys, Arin Nene and Ryan Nene. Then in 2007, the ‘Koyla’ star made her Bollywood comeback. Since then, he has been a part of multiple projects. Speaking of her work profile, on June 4, her OTT project ‘Maa Behen’ will premiere.
