‘Lot of trolling and judgement’: Samantha Ruth Prabhu opens up on her separation with Naga Chaitanya and illness

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu candidly shared her views on vulnerability and authenticity, admitting she’s “not perfect” and that being real has led to significant trolling. She believes authenticity is a continuous journey, not a destination. Prabhu also highlighted how readily available information about the elite can be demotivating, urging responsibility in navigating celebrity culture.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently open up on what she thinks about being vulnerable and authentic in front of people. The actress, in a recent interaction, stated that she is “not perfect.” She also expressed that being real also came with a lot of trolling and judgments. Here’s what Samantha talked about.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu attended the NDTV World Summit 2025 session on ‘Authenticity’. During the same interview, the actress shared that she doesn’t think authenticity is the “final destination, but it is a work in progress.”

The diva expressed that she doesn’t have everything sorted in her life; however, she can speak about it. She said, “I am not perfect; I might make mistakes, I might stumble, but I’m trying to be better.”Samantha shared that she has become authentic about everything because of her own journey, which happened in the public eye. The actress stated that she would be able to talk about her own life and not someone else’s. She said, “I can speak it and keep it as real as possible.”Samantha added that everyone is aware of her personal struggles—”the separation and the illness—as they all have been very public.” She went on to say, “It has come with a lot of trolling and judgment; a lot of judgment for being open and vulnerable.”

During the same event, Samantha discussed how social media and celebrity culture have influenced people’s conceptions of success and happiness. The actress expressed that everyone has access to how the top 1 per cent of the world lives. She said, “Everyone has access to that information, and that can be very demotivating. You have no way of having that kind of life. It is most important now that we also be responsible.”

On the work front, the actress will next feature in a web series titled ‘Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom’. Samantha has also confirmed an upcoming Telugu film titled ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’.
