‘Lokah’: Film crosses Rs 126 crores

'Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra' box office collections day 21: Kalyani Priyadarshan's film holds strong; crosses Rs 126 crores

Dominic Arun’s ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra’ continues its victorious run at the box office. On its 21st day, the fantasy drama collected an estimated Rs 2.10 Cr across all languages. This has resulted in pushing its India net total to nearly Rs 126.90 Cr.

Three weeks of dominance

According to the Sacnilk website, the Kalyani Priyadarshan led film’s opening week raked in Rs 54.7 Cr which was followed by another Rs 47 Cr in the second week. The original Malayalam version continues to be the main contributor, though Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi versions have added notable numbers.

Audience reception to ‘Lokah’ stays strong

On September 17, the film reported 23.41% occupancy in Malayalam with morning shows standing at 14.30 percent, afternoon shows at 18.90 percent and night shows at 37.02 percent. The occupancy percentage was 14.38% in Telugu across theaters with morning shows at 8.90 percentage, afternoon shows at 15.56 percentage and night shows at 18.68 percentage. The occupancy rates indicate a positive impact for the Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer.

Recently the team of ‘Lokah’ conducted a success bash in Chennai and the pictures were shared by Kalyani Priyadarshan’s mother Lissy along with a note that read, “Celebrating the mega success! Humble, happy, and grateful to the Almighty.
