Father’s statement criticizing medical care

On Tuesday, Lauren’s father Richard Bennett publicly criticized the medical care his daughter received in the months leading up to her passing. In a statement posted to social media, Richard addressed the circumstances surrounding his daughter’s death and the care she had received from medical professionals. “We have no suspicions regarding the circumstances of her passing, only deep disappointment that, for five months, medical professionals and NHS services failed to treat her appropriately during her time of greatest need,” Richard stated in his public message. He elaborated on the medical issues his daughter faced during this period. According to Richard’s statement Lauren experienced “a severe reaction to a prescribed medication” months before her passing. The father’s public statement suggests that inadequate treatment of this reaction during the five-month period may have contributed to her deteriorating condition.

Memorial service and family gathering

A private memorial service was held in London approximately one and a half weeks prior to the investigation update, bringing together Lauren’s family and closest friends to celebrate her life. Former bandmates from her musical groups were among those in attendance at the gathering reflecting the impact she had made during her career in the entertainment industry.
