Kunickaa hits back at troll calling her a ‘homewrecker’ for relationship with Kumar Sanu

Kunickaa Sadanand hits back at troll calling her a 'homewrecker' for relationship with Kumar Sanu while he was married to Rita Bhattacharya, after supporting Sonam Wankchuk: 'Aage badho chhutta nai hai'

Education reformist and environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk has been in the news over his indefinite hunger strike, launched in protest against the alleged examination irregularities and the NEET paper leak. As the fast entered its 17th day, concerns over his deteriorating health continued to grow. Several public figures have expressed support for his protest, including Kunickaa Sadanand. However, her show of solidarity soon sparked an unexpected controversy online. On July 13, Kunickaa shared a video on social media backing Sonam Wangchuk and urged citizens to stand with those questioning the government. She said people should support individuals who raise their voices for justice, adding that ignoring others’ struggles today would only weaken one’s own voice when faced with injustice in the future. The actress also stressed that democracy is sustained not just through voting but by citizens standing up for one another’s rights and collectively speaking out.In the caption accompanying her post, she wrote, “When the government stops listening, asking questions becomes even more essential. These questions aren’t just about Mr. Sonam Wangchuk – they’re about our democracy and every voice that rises for truth and justice. If those who speak the truth fall silent, then who will change the nation?”Her post, however, drew criticism from some social media users. One commenter wrote, “The cheap flop Bollywood types have arrived in the field.” Refusing to stay silent, Kunickaa fired back, saying, “Chalo koi nahi mai flop actor hi sahi? Aap bataao aap kya ho, bina zameer aur emaan ka chalta phirta laash ? Kam se kam meri conscience zinda hai, awaaz bullund hai?? aap kahan ho? sirf troll karna kaam hai aapka, woh bhi 2 rupees ke liye (Fine, whatever, at least I’m a flop actor, right? You tell me what you are – a walking corpse without a conscience or faith? At least my conscience is alive, my voice is loud?? Where the hell are you? Is trolling all you do for work, and that too for 2 rupees? )”The exchange escalated when another user brought up Kunickaa’s past relationship with singer Kumar Sanu during the 1990s, when he was still married. Sharing a screenshot related to the old controversy, the user accused her of being a “home wrecker” and wrote, “Where was your conscience when you dated married men and wrecked their home ???”Responding to the personal attack, Kunickaa dismissed the attempt to shift the focus away from the issue at hand. She replied, “Arrey bhai desh mein mujh se aur mere life se bade muddey chal rahein hain, (there are bigger issues in the country than me and my life) and you are still engrossed and captivated by my beauty and brains. Chalo chalo aagey badho… chutta nahi hai bhai.”Kunickaa was last seen on ‘Bigg Boss 19’.
