Kumar Sanu’s Ex-Wife Claims She Was Starved During Pregnancy; His Family Tortured Her

Singer Kumar Sanu was married to Rita Bhattacharya and that ended in an ugly divorce, the proceedings went on for eight years. When the divorce procedure started, Rita was pregnant with his third child. In a recent interview, his ex-wife has claimed that he did not have an intention to give her a single penny after divorce, he even stopped milk and medicine deliveries and that’s when she went to Bal Thackeray for justice. She said during an interview with Siddharth Kannan, “He ran away. He even took the microwave and the fans with him. After that, he stopped milk and medicine deliveries to the house, but fortunately, both the milk man and the doctor continued visiting. You don’t know how much this man has tortured me and my three children.” Rita added that she was even denied food. “I would sneak downstairs into the kitchen and take some daal and rice, which I would feed my two sons.” She blamed Sanu’s sister for her fallout with the singer. His sister moved in with her boyfriend so, she encouraged Sanu to protect his interests from Rita. “He even cut electricity to the house,” she said adding how eventually she went for help to Bal Thackeray. He read an interview of hers and asked Raj Thackeray to summon her to Matoshree. She said, “I didn’t get justice anywhere; so, for justice, I went to Bal Thackeray.” Rita said that she supported Sanu even when he was unemployed and must get credit for it. During the divorce proceedings with Rita, Kumar Sanu was in a relationship with Kunickaa Sadanand.
